Course objectives

This course aims at providing PhD students with state-of-the-art knowledge concerning the theory and empirics of the economics and management of innovation and new technologies, and economics of science, with special focus on eco-innovation and technologies enabling the transition to the Circular Economy paradigm.

The different modules will tackle the issues from a variety of perspectives to address the complex set of socio-economic impacts of the generation and diffusion of these technologies, as well as drivers and incentives and the challenges that emerge for managers and entrepreneurs.

The course will start in mid-January 2023. The detailed syllabi and reading list will be provided by each instructor before the beginning of the corresponding module.

While the course is organized within the PhD program in Innovation for the Circular Economy, students from the other PhD programs at the University of Torino are very welcome.

Classes are in presence, and we would kindly invite interested students from other PhD programs to send an email before January 10th, so as to arrange practical issues.

PhD students from other Italian and foreign institutions are also welcome. We can arrange remote participation on case-by-case basis.
